ONE POT DINNER IDEAS

After dinner at the end of a long day, the last thing you want is a kitchen sink full of mixing bowls, sheet pans, and dirty dishes to clean up. That's where these one-dish meals come in. One-pot dinners save your time, energy, and a sink full of dishes! These dinners are easy to make with minimal pre-preparation!

Let's look at some one-pot dinner ideas!

Tomato Rice

This meal consists of the most basic ingredients which are available in almost every Indian household- tomato and onions. These are cooked with some other basic ingredients like chilies, garlic, herbs, and some spices.

Salads

Salads are crunchy, tasty, and easy to make. Salads are a combination of different textures and flavors from different veggies and dressings. They are tasty as well as a healthy option for your dinner.

Chicken Curry

This easy-to-make curry recipe is perfect for weeknight meals. You can use any cut of chicken you want in this recipe, but drumsticks are arguably the best choice. Serve over rice if you feel like it, or leave the grains out if you’d rather eat it alone!

Indian-style Pasta

Make Indian-style pasta with lots of vegetables and lots of spices. Saute veggies of your choice in a pan, add macaroni and water and let it cook along with the vegetables. Garnish with coriander leaves, and you'll have a desi-style macaroni dish ready for your desi meal.

Khichdi

As mentioned in my previous blog, this is the simplest of all meals. Just pressure-cook dal and rice together in equal quantities along with salt and spices. Add water to get the consistency of your choice. Dal khichdi is light on tummy yet full of protein - a perfect meal for quick and fuss-free dinner.

This was an end to the quick breakfast-lunch-dinner series! We hoped you enjoyed reading about it!
